Rona and the moon.

Rona was a beautiful young lady but sometimes she could be mean and bossy to her husband and son. One day she sent her husband with her son to catch some fish for supper, they then left early in the morning. Rona's husband and son wouldn't come back until the next night.

Rona then fell asleep, but she slept in to long. Her husband was coming soon, she could hear him singing a mile a way. She then set the fire and hangi out. She then looked inside the gourd to see if there was any water left, there was none not even a drop. Rona had enough time to run to the pond and get some more water. She was running until the moon hid behind a cloud, Rona then tripped. 

She then cursed to the moon. Rona called him an old cooked head. The moon did not like that and then turned mad. He came down from the sky and grabbed Rona by the waist. Rona held on tight to the ngaio tree but the moon was to strong and pulled the tree out of its root. When her husband and son returned he could not see her there, until he could see a woman with a nagio tree in her hand up in the moon. 

On this day Rona can be seen on the full moon. When people get angry, they look to the moon and say "Remember Rona's mistake."

Today I read Rona and the moon. It was a cool story, and experienced me not to get angry that much. I love this story and then thought I should do a retail, maybe this story could tell you not to get angry that much and relax. When you do get angry look at the moon and remember Rona's mistake. If I would rate this book about Rona and the moon I would give it a 10/10.

Highlight of the term!!

The final day of term 3 at Pt england school. My highlight of the term was being in the production. My friends and I participated to be one the school senior dancer, I experience a lot of more dances to come. I love the part when we danced to the song watch me whip. At the end of the day, the school ends and holidays begin. Have a GREAT holiday!!

Egg Races!!!

WALT: think about my purpose and reader by planning my recount.

Cracks, Screaming, Racing!!We all did that with an egg on a spoon, lots of children thought they were going past with no sweat. They thought wrong, it was a super messy.

The whole of class six literacy class all started to walk to the senior playground. We either decided with our partner to run with our egg first or second. Our little eggs name was Venosa Goodwin,We then get handed our spoons, we carefully put the egg on the spoon. Already kids we cracking their eggs, it was already messy. Groups of us lined up behind the line waiting eagerly to pass the line, it was super crazy. We all panicked for our egg.

We then hear a voice beside us saying “go,” we all walked slowly but trying to beat one another. I climbed over the platform with no sweat, and then looked at the other activities that I needed to pass. Lots already lost their egg, and couldn’t go on. I finally passed the line and gave the spoon to my friend, some children from the other end were really disappointed because their partner didn’t come back with a perfect egg. Once everyone finished with their egg, I walk over to Venetia, the egg was perfect, no crack at all. We were amazed.

The egg race was the coolest activity that we had done so far. We all loved our egg and cared for it, some or our kids didn’t want to give our egg back. I thought that the egg was a good idea to car for one another, because some of us were careful of the egg and some just didn’t care about the egg at all.




Task: Today we learnt how to write purpose. To write our paragraph we did egg racing, we learnt how to write about our topic and don't write about something else.

Problem Solving!!!

WALT: Multiply and Divide decimals.


Task of description:
Our task was to understand what decimals are. Also how to use them in division and dividing, I learnt this to get a good idea of what a decimal is and what they are for. One of these answer were really hard to answer, so what I did was to ask our teacher for some help. My friend and I put this into proper math answers so our reader can understand. Market Day!!

WALT: Write an interesting recount

Last week on Friday we had our team 4 market day for our topic trade and enterprise. Team 4 bought products, sold products, advertised products and did much more. We got the option to talk to our partner to buy first or sell second. Read on to find out more.


On our market day we had six groups buying and selling products. Our big groups are Musical Instruments, Homeware, Custom Stationery, Kitchen, Jewelry and Toys. Smaller groups were made so they can decide what products they want to make to sell. My group had a discussion and decided that we wanted to make maths book covers.


The whole of team four were split up into the year six block, the year five block and the porch. The groups that were in the year five block were Jewelry and Toys. In the year six block was Custom stationery, some of Jewellery and Musical Instruments. On the porch was Kitchen. Our group decided to hang our poster above us so our customers can see our amazing product. It was really crazy, because kids were wandering around  and buying products that they didn’t even need.


Kids got the option to talk to their partner if they wanted to buy or sell first. I got the opportunity to buy first, so what I bought was a candle for my mum, food, loom bands and much more. My partener and I had a turn to bowl down six cans with a ball, it was super fun buying. The products that I bought were very useful to use, and I was very impressed of what I could do with it. When we had to swap I didn’t want to go back I was stuck having way too much fun with my products.


Selling products was easy for a while. We sold up to 9 book covers and made 22pt and 50pcs, we also made 5 generic book covers which made 12pt and 50pcs. Our group was really impressed of how much we made, and we are really grateful that Mr Goodwin was there to help us. I was in custom stationery with my friends, we got the option to chose what math book we want. What I choose was a cool graffiti math book cover, that my friend Venetia made. It was super cool and fitted right onto my maths book.

The market day was like I was in the night market but in day time, I thought the market was going to be lame but it was actually really awesome. The most amazing part about the market day was that we got heaps of orders, my friends and I were really HAPPY!!

Task of description:
I have learnt how to make sense, and use proper English. I also had help with my friends, I learnt how to use language to make my recount more interesting. I made my story my interesting my using more new words. Please leave a comment or feedback.

Adverb- Forever
Description of task:
Today we learnt how to use Adjectives, Nouns, Verbs and adverbs, but there was a change of this we had to put them into order to make sense. We learnt how to use a range of language and use our inferencing skills, we did some heaps or learning today. Our whole class learnt this with a partner for help. This task was an good idea to put on our thinking caps for using top vocabulary for our poems, writing, reading answers and talk to the people we know or giving directions. Adventurous adverbs!!

WALT: We are learning about adverbs and how to use them efficiently


Today we learnt how to use adverb to a high standard. I learnt how to put adventurous adverb into the right place, and to use them in correct order. We did this in a few steps and help from our teacher Ms Tito, we learnt many more things before this and really hope you understand what this means.
