Our Samoan DLO. ( Digital Learning Object)

New Project from Team 4 Pes on Vimeo.

This is our Samoan DLO . We have been learning about catching a bus in Samoa. About the difference and the similarities. My group and I worked hard on our digital learning object and hoped you's like it. We used our little Point england children in this Video, We dressed them up in costumes.

We learnt that If there is no seats in the Samoan bus that you have to sit on someone that you don't even know and you can pay when you get off the bus. In Samoa there buses are in a funny kinda shape and New Zealand's bus it is Rectangular shape, Samoa doesn't have a timetable so you don't even know when the bus is coming. You have to wait on the road to find the bus and wave you hand to get the bus drivers attention or you have to wait for another half an hour for the bus.

Different:
1. The Buses in Samoa are in a different shape then New Zealand's.

2. You don't have to pay when you get on you can pay when you can get off in Samoa.

3. In Samoa if there are no seats on the bus you can sit on someone bigger then you or Stand up.

Similarities:
1. You can pay on both Buses.

2.  You have to wave there hand to get there attention to stop.

3. You have to wait for the bus in Samoa and New Zealand.

Thank you Miss wild and Miss Moala for letting us borrow you little kiddies.

My common games events.

Did you know swimming started in the first century and has been in the olympics since 1896. Captain Matthew webb he has was the first recorded person to swim, He has been swimming since 19th January 1848 to 24th July 1883. When people swim 50 percent of them have pain in there shoulder.

Lauren boyle is a Swimmer that represent New Zealand, She was the fourth fastest in the heats of 400m freestyle 4:03.63. Lauren has completed three commonwealth games and two olympics Games, I reckon Captain Matthew webb and Lauren Boyle will win the Gold for New Zealand only if Matthew Represented New Zealand.

Math Work

Here is my math work. Hope you like it. Please leave a comment

My world war one.

Why is today special?. Today it special because it is a reminding of the people who died in the WW1 a 100 years ago. The war was in Egypt heading to Italy. There was over about 16 million and 20 million wounded ranking it among the deadliest conflicts in human history. When the man shot the other man the war started to get bigger and bigger and bigger.

The countries that joined the war was British Empire,Italy,France,United state's and much more. When the world war 1 finished they were all happy  to come back home and meet there families again. There was people who died in the world war 1 and people who had broken arms and legs. They had to use walking sticks so they could walk. It was very very sad because the people who didn't survive didn't get to meet their family ever again. But the always will be in your heart.

Cross country.

Our literacy teacher Mr Sommerville, Gave Pohutukawas an animation to work on about Cross country. The cross country is usually run to 4-12 kilometers long, It may include grass, hard surface and flat ground and gravel road. Both men and women of all ages compete in cross country. When you run you have to have stamina it mean you can run to one place and back without stopping.
