5 and 6 camp.

Walt: To make connections across a wide range of texts.

I have visited Gloria's blog post and her thoughts were that she was so excited to go to camp that her head nearly exploded. Gloria's favorite part of going to camp is that she can laugh, chat and have fun with her friends. The best thing that she was leader.

What Gloria wrote on her blog post made me feel so jumpy and excited of what we were going to do at camp this year. This is my second time going to camp I am so looking forward of going to camp this year.

I would like to make a BIG shout to Gloria for showing everyone her blog post and the stuff she had wrote about made me feel about camp. Her blog is SUPER COOL you should go on her blog and check it out.

OUR TASK WAS TO MAKE CONNECTIONS ACROSS WIDE RANGE OF TEXTS. THIS IS MY RESULTS.

The awesome Year5/6 camp.

Walt: Organize my ideas into paragraphs and them together.
Having fun and getting wet is what the year 5/6 children did at camp. Every year the year five and sixes get the opportunity to camp with two friends in tents for two nights and three days. Well I’ll tell you what we did at camp this year.

This year was the 25th anniversary for the year 5 and 6 camp. In 1991 the year 5 and 6 camp started, some of our parents were in camp  back in the old days. This year was the most exciting year that I have ever had. It was so cool because I was in Miss Lavakula team and I was a leader in Honest Squad. I also slept in a tent with two of my friends.
(Cameo and Patricia).

My highlight of camp was kayaking because we got to choose if we wanted to go on a single or a double. Well I chose a single, at first I tried to go past the buoy but instead my kayak flipped over and hit my head. It was so sore, but I still end up passing it, somehow.

My second highlight of camp was the concert night because I got to finally see the other teams dance, they all were amazing but I thought we were better and the BOMB! After all the activities we have an extra practice for the people or group who needed a little bit more practice.

This is a recount about what we did at camp this year. Camp this year was so amazing, I really hope you like my recount about my camp this.

Newspaper challenge.

WALT: To write a detailed Introduction with hook and orientation

Have you ever made a tower out of Newspaper?  We had to make the tallest tower in class today, everybody thought it was going to be easy. They were wrong.

We started off sitting down on the mat like a normal literacy class, until he said to put our chromebooks away thats when we knew that Mr Goodwin was up to something. When we sat back down he said to separate into groups of five, My group was Lani, Olivia, Venetia  and Presayus, Including me. The materials that we needed was five and half pieces of newspaper, a long piece of masking tape and scissors.

We only had 8 minutes, everybody was panicking, except for us we just had to be calm and make the tallest tower. My group had plan to make a triangle
and try to it stand but then Mr Goodwin gave us some advice and said to make a base. At first we didn’t know where to put the base but then Venetia had a good idea and said “ TO PUT THE BASE ON THE GROUND.” We did it just in time to make it stand, we were so lucky.

When we finish our last base the timer went, We all looked around and most of the groups towers were scrunched and kept on falling down. When we looked across of us, we saw a group whose tower were perfect it didn’t fall at all. My group were panicking because they don’t know if we won or not, Mr Goodwin even tried to measure it with his leg but then it was sure. Until he finally had a plan to get a 1 meter ruler, then we were really worried it shouted it out and said “ TEAM… TALITA WON” our group was disappointed but they got over adventley.

I loved the challenge I wish we could do this every once a week. I thought we had the best, I had all my friend we went worried about everything we were just chill. That’s one reason I love my friends.

Mr Goodwin gave us a task to write a recount about what we did, I describe my day cool, amazing and fun.
