WALT: The Duffy show

On Monday straight after lunch room six, seven and eight were getting ready for the Duffy show in the hall, the actors were Sienna, Duffy and the librarian, actually the librarian played more than one character. They basically act out their characters to encourage children who hate reading so they become to love reading.

Room six, seven and eight lined up at the year five and six porch ready for the duffy show. As the classes were finding their seats the actors from the duffy show was entertaining us with simon says, when we finished our game of simon says we all shouted “DUFFY”  then duffy came out with books in his hands. Before they started the show they introduced themselves to us and told us three important rules.

As the show started Duffy was telling us that his friend didn’t like reading and hated it. When Duffy heard Sienna come in, Duffy went back over to the other side. Sienna was complaining because

she couldn't find her homework while her mum is looking for her keys to go to work. Sienna mum left the room and Sienna groaned and said “ Man I hate reading,” after Sienna left the room Duffy came in and said to us “DID SHE SAY THAT SHE HATED TO READ” then we shouted “YES.’’

The next day Sienna was looking a library but thought it was a toy shop, she wanted to buy something but didn’t have any money but when she saw Duffy buying book, she said “man he must be rich”. Duffy came out with his books and Sienna said “You must be rich” Duffy replied “No you just need a library card”, “What, what’s a library card”. Duffy went back into the library with Sienna , Duffy asked Sienna some questions to see what she loves, but all she said was mostly about T.V. Sienna like to watch television a lot, Duffy needed to help her or the zombie apocalypse , Sienna went in the library and said I do like harry potter, So duffy said  “Here you go there is a Harry potter book, but if you want get a library card. Sienna’s mum came in and signed the paper to get the library she was so happy it was like she changed and loved reading, now we know what she likes she loves planting.  

I loved the show it was amazing, one of the actors played more than one character, she change really. I thought that the show teaches a lot to people who hate reading.
