• Bar graph. I chose this graph/chart because it shows how much fruit there are, What type of fruit it is and shows the title of what the graph is showing.

Immersion Assembly - Term 2

Term 2, Day one. We kicked off the day with our original Assembly with the year 7&8's, Working towards the goals we need to achieve throughout the week. Throughout the school we all collaborate in the start of the term and share what we're learning towards to the end of the term, Team 1 - 5 all had an act or movie to present. Interesting enough? Keep up and I'll tell you what we're learning towards.

Team 5 was up and as the students cheered for the fellow teachers that were going to act. I knew this was going to be hilarious when the theme song of Bob the builder started playing as Mr Wiseman, Mrs Judd, Miss Tapuke and Mrs Ilaoa walked onto the stage. The Teachers started off with dancing away on the stage, One by one going to the back of the stage except for Mr Wiseman. Mr Wiseman explained who he was, He was Bob the builder. As he sang the Bob the Builder theme song, Terribly! but in funny ways. We all joined to support, We laughed at the facials he was making the moves that he had. From my perspective it was my favorable act.

The other 3 teachers came popping out one by one from the back stage complaining about things they have noticed around Team 5, Mrs Judd wanted to clean up the soil that was left over and our garden rules. Miss Tapuke had a problem with cushions, Messy piles and strings hanging out. Then Mrs Ilaoa had an issue with the bags owned by the students in team 5, They were all left on the ground no where to put them at all. It's same with the other problems, They wanted useful things to use for team 5 space.

So? What we're learning towards in Team 5 is to create something useful we could use in Team 5, Helpful things. I've got an idea already in mind but that's another story, What could we use to help Team 5 improve into something better? Little things can be helped by using big ideas and us children have a lot of ideas planned already. Stay tuned to see what we have set for Term 2.

Sentence Types

This term we learnt about simple, compound and a complex sentence. We had to write sentences for an example of this sentences, I wrote these sentences to show my understanding of these types. You should look at the presentation and see my proper understanding of these.

My Idea of a fun weekend - Writing

What's your idea of a fun weekend? In Auckland, New Zealand there are many fun activities to do. To experience every beautiful thing around you. Lakes, Beaches and much more, You could possibly go anywhere while having the best time of your life.

My perfect idea of a fun weekend is waking up early to a big breakfast to kick off the day. Bacon, Eggs and a Milo for the drink. Such an exceptional way to fill your tummy, Delicious and yummy.  Always eat heaps, To have enough energy for the day ahead. Also drink a glass of water before going out, Keep hydrated and stay healthy.

The first activity  I would prefer doing is paintball, Paintball is just placed around the corner from the airport. It’s so fun running around and shooting your opponent, My aiming is pretty bad but at least I’m still having fun. You could possibly do this with any friends or family, As long as they don't kill your buzz of having a fun time.

I don't have much but I am sure that you’ll have the best time, Maybe you could tell me about your idea of a fun weekend. Remember, Their are a lot of things in New Zealand to do.

Whats you idea of a fun weekend? Hanging outdoors with your friends or staying inside and spending quality time with your family. Their are many opportunities of having fun outdoors and indoors, Well this term one of our writing task was to explain what our idea of a fun weekend is to us.

Here is my presentation that I've finished off for the week, Inside this presentation it has multiple stories inside. First is water worn, Second is Making driftwood furniture and lastly Coral reefs, All these stories link up into one or more common things. We learnt about how each story included our Ocean and what it could do to it.

What now for the Rena? What could possible things like Oil spills, Really it could do a lot of damage to our ocean. Not only our oceans get damaged but also sea creatures and birds. Maybe you could look at my presentation to see what Oil spills could do to our ocean.

Writing - Who my role model is and why?

Shes quite an old lady. As she already crossed seventy five years, her years of working and traveling have bent her back a little but it's definitely not stopping her from doing her daily activities. She’s short, thin and almost grey haired but she's also my role model, My nana! Let me tell you why my nana is my special role model.

My nana is very affectionate and caring. As her granddaughter I always look forward to watch our favorite shows on tv with her. My nana always tells me what she thinks is going to happen in the show, Makes me laugh because we always end up arguing. Our favourite show to watch together is home and away and shortland street, Our bonding by just watching and arguing about what's gonna happen is so hilarious.

As being the youngest out of her grandchildren, My nana does tend to overload my pocket with money. She’s always on my case about having lunch or money, If I don't have either two she’ll probably quickly do me a quick sandwich and chuck 5 dollars into my hand while she's at it before I head off to school. That’s what I absolutely love about her she loves me as much as she loves watching her tv shows. Just kidding, Of course she loves me way more than anything in this world because I am the favorite you know. Well that's what I think.

I love how my nana is always there for me, When I’m down or need to some supporting words she is always there to lift me up. 12 years straight that my nana has never let me down, I love her comfort and warmth I get from her. If I’m either sad, She’ll make me something to eat and talk to me just to make sure I’m alright. My nana is the best nana ever! No one could ever replace her.

Well, That’s the end. You now know who my role model is. She’s the best out! I love my nana as much as I love my food, Stay tune for more writing of mine!
