Problem Solving!!!

WALT: Find a fraction of a number

To solve these problem's I had to find a fraction of a number. I learnt how to read a maths problem and then convert it into a math equation, I did this with my friend Revival, Yvonne and Venetia. Two of us in a group did a card each. We had to Participate and work together to find out what the answer is. At the end of the day our results were good and we all agreed to the answer. Hope you enjoyed My friends and I problem solving.

Problem Solving!!

WALT: Find equivalent fractions
WALT: Find a fraction of a number

I learnt that if you have more than one question that can be solved the same way, you can look back at the other ones to solve it again. That is what I did in the problem solving to solve my answer and to improve on my maths to get better and better. I hope that I can learn more interesting things about maths, and hope to share to you.

Problem Solving!!!

WALT: Find a fraction of a number
WALT: Simplify fractions

Today we learnt all about how to find a fraction in a number. My friends and I thought it was really, some of it was really hard to put it in a sentence. So please leave a comment of what I need to improve on.

Problem Solving!!!

WALT: Multiply and Divide decimals.

Task of description:
Our task was to understand what decimals are. Also how to use them in division and dividing, I learnt this to get a good idea of what a decimal is and what they are for. One of these answer were really hard to answer, so what I did was to ask our teacher for some help. My friend and I put this into proper math answers so our reader can understand. Please leave a comment or feedback of what I did wrong.

Maths Teacher Lesson!!!

WALT: Work with decimals and Multiply decimals.

Click here to see how we solved the equation.

This week we had a lesson with our Teacher Mr S, we learnt two strategies today. We learnt how to work with decimals, where if the equation is multiply use division and you can still use the same thing around. Also we do that same thing to to addition and subtraction. The second equation we were learning was multiply decimals, where you can multiply step by step. Watch the video to see some more examples.

Maths Teacher lesson!!

WALT Subtract decimals

Description of task:
Today with our teacher we learnt how to subtract decimal in two ways. It was tricky at first, but easy when we got it. Our teacher gave us challenging question, we were think so hard. Mr S then he told us change the subtraction into an addition. We then add it to the closer unit and then add the rest, it was super easy when we got it.

Problem Solving!!!

WALT: multiply and divide whole numbers.

Description of learning:
Today our task was to finish off this task to show that we understand these problem that were given to us. The first one was my one and I did multiplication and while my friend revival did the second which was division. For an example: 92 x 6=?, so first we break it up into bits 90 x 6=540 and then 2 x 6-12. At the end we finally we just have to add those two numbers that we just made. The answer would be 552, please leave a comment or feedback of what I need to work on.

Applying for a Job!!!

WALT: Applying for a job to a high standard

Applying for bank teller:
I would like to be a bank teller because I am trustworthy and a responsible child. I love participating people. I can also do my job within one hundred percent.

I chose this job because I love counting my mother’s money. I like to keep everything organised and straight so nothing can go missing. I listen to everyone and follow instructions carefully so I don’t get anything wrong, I love to participate in things. You can simply trust me to bank money with you at lunchtimes. If I do get this job I will bring my full responsibility in this and can focus on my particular learning needs  for this job.

Thank you for your time for reading my application for being a bank teller.

Letter from guardian
To whom,
My daughter is very responsible for a bank teller, she has been telling me heaps about school and I am very impressed that she is trying out to be a banker.

Rosalina is an outgoing and a loveable person to work with, she is really good at counting my money and I think she would be good at this job. She does everything well with one hundred percent and has a perfect smile while doing it.

My little one is great for this spot and loves helping other people with stuff. Rosalina has a fun personality and a focused attitude when it comes to serious things. She loves to participate with others and have fun.

Maths Teacher Lesson!!!

WALT: Add and Subtract Decimals.

Today our task was to learn how to add and subtract decimals. For an example: 2.75 + 3.611=, So to answer it we do 5 + 1= 6 and then 7 + 6= 13  and there is our answer 6.361. Please leave a comment or feedback of what I need to work on my particular learning needs.

Problem Solving!!!

WALT: Add and Subtract Decimals

Our task today was to learn about adding and subtracting decimals. Revival and I was given this task to work on and we have now finished within just in minutes, we learnt this to show our proper understanding of what decimals are. One of the equation was super hard but we got through it so far. To solve this answer we added or subtracted the hundredths, tenths and then the ones. Please leave a comment or feedback of what we need to work on.

Problem Solving!!

WALT: Add and Subtract decimals

This week our task was to do this presentation to show our understanding of what decimals are. For an example: 0.22 + 0.34= So first we do 22 + 34=56. So that was pretty easy you do the same with one columns. So the answer is 56, please leave a comment or feedback of what I need to improve on.

WALT: Adding and Subtracting Decimals.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week we are learning how to solve adding and subtracting decimals, Me and my friend Revival made this presentation to show our understanding of decimals. It was pretty easy when we learnt but then got harder when adding or subtracting big number decimals. Read the presentation and leave a comment or feedback of what you learnt or what I need to improve for my maths.
Teacher lesson!!
WALT: Add and Subtract decimals
Today we learnt how to solve adding and subtracting decimals. We learnt that the first number is the whole and second number is the fraction that is less than 1, Here is an example: So the equation is 2.6 + 4.1=  So how to solve this is 2 + 4= 6 then 6 + 1= 7 and the answer is 2.6 + 4.1= 6.7. Here is an another example: 5.6 - 2.3=, So first we do 5 - 2=3 and 6 - 3= 3 and the answer is 5.6 - 2.3= 3.3.
Problem solving!!
WALT: Add and Subtract Decimals.
Today me and my friend Revival did this presentation to show our understanding of decimals. I learnt how to subtract and add decimal it is really easy to some of us. Here is an example: 0.4 + 0.5= so first I did 4 + 5= 9 and then I do 0 + 0= 0 so we just need to add a decimal point and there is our answer 0.9.
Problem solving!!!
WALT: Multiply fractions and whole numbers.
This is what we did to show our understanding of fractions. We learnt how add, subtract and multiply fraction, hope you know how to do fractions. Here is my working that I have done with two of my friends. (Presayus and Revival)
My Version of Flappy bird!!!!
Rosalina's Video Game from Team 4 Pes on Vimeo.
This term we have been learning on how to animate/make our own side scrolling game. To make an sensible game you have to have good drawing, clear voice over and an perfect interesting animation. I thought that I did an amazing job on my animation. I really hope that you comment and leave me feedback of what I need to work.
Problem solving!!
WALT: Solve problems with fractions.
This is what we did to show our understanding of fractions. Here is an recent example: so we have Heather who ran for 2 1/6 hours and 6 1/6. How many hours did Heather ran. What we did was 2 1/6+ 6 1/6= 8 1/12, then we did 2+6=8, 1/6+1/6= 1/12. So that is the strategy that we did to get our answer. Hope you enjoy.
Problem Solving!!
WALT: solve problems with fractions
I had learnt fractions with my two friends, Revival and Presayus. We learnt with two fractions of which one is the greatest. So for an example: out of 2/5 and 1/6 which one is bigger, The answer is 2/5 because there is only 3/5 left, and 1/6 has 5/6 to do. So there was on example of what you can do.
Maths Teacher Lesson!!
This is what we learnt today. We solves problems with fractions, For an example 8/9 or 8/11 which one is greater. So if the numerator is the same you go down to the numerator, Some people think that the highest number is the greatest but no they are wrong it is actually the smallest number because the smaller the number the bigger the fraction. So our answer is 8/9.
